Our guess is a predator post...perhaps for owls and hawks for rat control in the cane field. We did something similar at our place whilst we were establishing the orchard....we had large wooden crosses everywhere and we often got shy questions whether they were dedicated to Jesus and the wooden cross!!! This certainly never occurred to us but gave us some laughs. Now we have large trees so no longer any need for them. Liz

Young Karri near Pemberton.
Some stunning trees in this area but this one has not started to drop limbs.

Default New Pastures and Trees

This is a photo taken from our driveway of the cattle enjoying the lush new grass since the rains in Roma. Laurie wishes the sun would come out and dry it off a bit, the cattle never stop eating, it goes straight through.
