Ingredients
One and a half cups of raisins Half a cup of sultanas One cup of sugar (or less if you prefer a more grown up taste) Half a teaspoon of mixed spice and cinnamon Two cups of flour One teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda Method Combine all the ingredients Mix well with 500mls of boiling hot tea Empty into a greased and floured billycan (if it has a spout, put some baking paper over the hole )Cover and let it stand overnight Steam it for three and a half hours (stand it in your camp oven in water which you'll need to top up regularly) Let it sit for a little while (pondering how turn it out of the can) and then serve it up
